This metallic braided brake cable kit comes with a housing that provides more compression resistance, and is tougher than plastic-coated housing. The cable housing has a thin clear plastic layer over it, so the paint on your bike stays intact.

Great looking retro brake cable kit from Velo Orange. Made from modern stainless steel though. This means it is rust resistant and super rugged. And as with vintage housing, it does not have plastic outer coating.
The set comes with 4 padded sleeves that can be placed around your housing to prevent the paint on your bike being scratched off.
