A pedal we refined the shape, reinforced the oversized flip tab, and upgraded the bearings to our Triple Sealed Bearing system (that spins for days).
The Urban Platform features ridges to provide grip on the exterior edges of the pedal body and along the axle line . There is a slightly taller set of inboard ridges to help keep your feet where they belong and prevent your shoes from rubbing on the crank.
We recommend toe clips with all of our Platform pedals, and specifically recommend the MKS stainless steel Cage Clip quarter, half or full as a great pair.
This pedal looks excellent on most steel and vintage bikes.

The Lambda Ezy Superior is an extremely unique double-sided platform pedal designed in conjunction with Rivendell Bicycle Works. The Lambda design uses a somewhat traditionally alloy pedal body attached to very unconventional alloy step block, and is built around our hand adjusted cup and cone bearing system. The large “C” shaped step blocks feature a octopus sucker like dimple that provides excellent grip without shoe damaging pins. While this pedal is quite large front to back, the unique design isn’t particularly wide allowing for ample clearance while cornering. Due to the large surface area, this pedal is popular for cycling in boots and fat biking.
The patented Ezy Superior system allows for safe, rapid, and toolless removal of pedals for travel, storage, or flexibility. There are no shortcuts on a velodrome, and riding precisely on the black line will be the shortest distance around the track every time. Just like on the track, we at MKS take no shortcuts and focus on precision when building our SUPREME pedals.
Our most skilled employees assemble and adjust the SUPREME pedal one at time. The SUPREME is built around our finest sealed bearing system, which uses two japanese sealed cartridge bearings that are factory adjusted using extremely thin spacers (from .02mm) to ensure the SUPREME offers the highest level of rotational performance available on the market.
As the SUPREME was designed and built for professional track racing, the certification is stamped onto every pedal using the NJS mark. When compared to our Custom Nuevo, we upgraded the axle to reduce the harshness of ride, and strengthened the cage plates using triangular cut-outs while holding the pedal weight at 294g. We highly recommend you use toe clips and or straps with the SUPREME, as it was truly designed for performance.
The SUPREME is available in two colors, Black and Silver. Both colors share the same chrome plated semi-hollow axle and alloy pedal body polished to a mirror finish. The Silver features chrome plated cage plates, while the Black features anodized cage plates.

The BM-7 is a 2012 reissue of one of our most popular BMX designs from 1979’s. The BM-7 features an alloy body and an alloy cage built around our hand-adjusted cup and cone bearing system. The one-piece wrap around cage features an aggressive tooth profile (but not as aggressive as the BM-10 that came after it) with a slight concave design to help keep your foot centered. While the original BM-7 has a black plastic dust cap, our updated version has an alloy cap.
