The Berthoud Galibier racing saddle is manufactured in house from thick natural vegetable tanned leather.
It is pre-softened to shorten the break-in period.
It is suitable for racing bicycles and other bicycle with a somewhat ''aggressive'' riding position.
The bolt assemblies at the rear of the saddle are situated behind the area on which the cyclist sits. No risk of damaging your cycling shorts or your skin!
Backplate made of technical material providing solidity and flexibility for maximum comfort. Easy to disassemble thanks to an system of stainless steel bolts which fit into special-shaped brass washers. The cone-shaped washers fit snuggly into the leather avoiding any risk of damage.
Rails made of polished titanium.The rails have a relatively long straight part giving saddle setback adjustment.
Patented tension system. No special tool is required to adjust the tension, a 5mm Allen key is enough.
Each saddle is individually marked with an unique serial number etched on the brass washer on top of the nose.
The leather density fluctuates between hides so the saddle weight can vary.

The Vars saddle by Berthoud Cycles is made of thick, natural vegetable tanned leather. Beforehand, the leather has been eased and made waterproof. The leather is attached at the back of the saddle to keep the rivets away from the rider. With a width of 180mm, this saddle is perfect of commuters and cyclists who prefer a more upright position. The rails are made of titanium which makes it easy to adjust.

The Col d'Aubisque is a moutain pass in the French Pyrenees and is most famous for the cycling stages of the Tour de France.
The most legendary tale of d'Aubisque is the fall of Wim van Est in 1951. Van Est took too much risk at the decent and fell down a 70 meter cliff. Fortunately he was not hurt badly, but he had to be rescued by tying bicycle tires together. In memory of his fall, a plaque was applied at the bend of his fall. More info & order
The B17, the iconic Brooks saddle, first produced in 1898. Highly suitable for long distance cycling, touring&travelling and mountainbiking.
Available in a gents and ladies (S) version. It comes in many iterations. The standard B17 has black rails. The B17 Special has chromed rails and frame assembly. The B17 titanium has titanium rails, as the title suggests. this model also has softened, or pre-aged leather, meaning it was treated in such a way that it is more supple, shortening the break-in period. Ideal for protecting racing models (Soulor/Galibier) or touring models (Aspin/Aravis). This model is distinguished by the cord that you can pull so that the cover better encloses the saddle. A bit more expensive, a bit more chic.
